Once a patient is fitted with hearing aids we always conduct a follow up consultation and fine-tuning session. This enables us to optimise the aids after the patient has tried them in different acoustic environments. This process can be repeated if necessary until the patient can hear well once again.
We give comprehensive advice to our patients about the best way to use the hearing aids to enable them to optimise their hearing, including use of individualised programmes, remote controls, streaming devices or even apps if appropriate. We are there to guide our patients every step of the way.
A hearing aid is only part of the solution. Without expert fitting and fine-tuning one may still be missing out on vital acoustic frequencies. Regular hearing checks are therefore an important part of our care package.
We carry out a yearly hearing check and service of the hearing aids to make sure that they always sound as good as when brand new. This service is completely free for as many years as the warranty covers the aids. If you perceive that your hearing has changed before the year is over then we ask our patients to come in for a free check whenever necessary.
